Instagram launches popular ‘Questions’ feature

Instagram users this week took the platform to test out the new Stories feature that lets people overlay a special “sticker” to videos and images that helps solicit questions from followers.
“It’s a fun new way to start conversations with your friends so you can get to know each other better,” reads an Instagram statement.
The feature appears among a selection of other options after taking a picture or video in the app and lets users customize questions for followers.
“Type out your prompt then place it wherever you’d like and share it to your story. When friends see the sticker, they can tap it to reply — and they can reply as many times as they want, right from the sticker.”
Users can find followers’ submitted questions in your viewers list; tap on his or her question to create a new story in response.
“Though you’re able to see who submitted each response in your viewers list where it’s private, when you share that response in your story, your friend’s photo and username will not be shown.”
A cursory glance at people we follow shows the feature is catching on and apparently popular when people have downtime during a commute, on the job, are waiting for an appointment and so on.
Washington, D.C.-based public affairs professional Robert Panzenbeck (@Panzenbeck) on his Instagram Stories recently showcased the new feature from the backseat of his Uber.
Online vendors, like Arbonne representatives, also appear to be enjoying the new feature as it provides a fun, educational content opportunity for friends and prospective clients.
Expect this feature to remain a staple on Instagram and not simply a passing fad!
